Projects

English Vocabulary
Give children the gift of language by assisting with our English Vocabulary Project. Volunteers assist with our carefully planned lessons which have been created by qualified teachers to develop crucial language skills in the youngsters of our community.

Development of Educational Resources
Help develop fun and educational resources to assist with the education of local children. Many of the preschools do not have teaching resources and through this project volunteers have the opportunity to provide a new and fun way for children to learn!

Physical Development & Movement
Encourage physical development in children in a fun and interactive way! This project also encourages social skills such as team work and communication. Volunteers work with children between 2 and 6 years old in interactive games encouraging hand-eye coordination and an active lifestyle.

Creative Activities
Help children to develop their creative skills through art, drama, dance and music! Through this fun and interactive project you will also assist young learners to build on their self-awareness and communication skills.

Life Orientation
Help us lay the foundations of important life skills. Volunteers will assist with the running of simple lesson plans including basic health information; introduction to rights and responsibilities; understanding of culture and religion; and encouragement of self-awareness and expression.

Maths Activities
“Help children to develop all important mathematical skills. Volunteers will assist with running simple lessons covering areas such as counting, basic problem solving, and shape recognition.”
Knysna
, South Africa

Knysna is based in one of the most beautiful parts of South Africa. Stunning views, impressive mountain passes, lush green forests and white sandy beaches.
Knysna itself is nestled on the shores of the Knysna estuary - or Knysna Lagoon, as it is more commonly know. It's the most biologically diverse estuary in South Africa and home to the Knysna Seahorse, the most threatened seahorse species in the world. Knysna is also an avenue to the Tsitsikamma Forest, which stretches from just west of George to the Tsitsikamma River near Humansdorp. This indigenous forest is home to numerous fauna and flora. The forest also houses the worlds's most southerly elephants. Sadly, with only a handful of elephants left, the forset elephants are rapidly becoming part of Knysna's history, rather that Knysna's nature.
